Although telehealth spread rapidly during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has not reached all patient populations. Key health disparities have emerged in vulnerable and underserved communities including access to technology and technology literacy. As the “digital divide” continues to widen, those populations left out of the telehealth upswing are faced with a higher risk of missed appointments, delayed care, and anxiety.
During this roundtable, expert panelists will discuss the role health plans and health systems can play in bridging the digital divide by creating a consumer experience and how they can create a consumer experience with pathways and channels to meet different patient needs.
