Broadband Stakeholders,

The Office of Broadband Development (OBD) is proud to announce that all locations eligible for funding through the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) program have been preliminarily awarded. OBD is preparing its submission of these awards to the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).

Once NTIA clears OBD to make the list of awardees public, OBD will open a seven-day public comment period on the state’s BEAD Final Proposal. After the conclusion of the public comment period, the Final Proposal will be submitted to NTIA. OBD requested an extension of its Final Proposal submission deadline to September 29.

Internet service providers interested in reporting unsubsidized service currently available in BEAD-eligible areas ahead of the submission of the State of Missouri’s Final Proposal for BEAD funding are reminded that they can do so using this portal.

OBD will not accept new assertions of service through this portal between close of business on September 18 and submission of OBD’s Final Proposal. Service must be available at the time of reporting; OBD will not accept indications that a provider plans to begin offering service at some point in the future as grounds for removing a location from BEAD eligibility. Evidence requirements are listed in OBD’s Notice of Program Changes (pages 5-8).
